He says that the ratings went through the roof last week and it was because Triple H made him the assistant General Manager. Zack woo woo woos. He says that this is his first State of the Showski Address and he says that there are going to be a lot of changes.
Ezekiel Jackson’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring. Zeke tells Zack that he knows what he is thinking. Zack must think that Zeke is going to come out here and rip his head off like a bottle cap for putting him in a handicap match against Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase last week, but he isn’t. Zeke says that he wants to talk about why he was put in that match. Zack says that they talked about it before the match Zeke says that he was going to use his limited power to make not make it a handicap match. Zack tries to find the right words to give a proper answer while keeping his head on his shoulders, but he is unable to say anything because . . .
Cody Rhodes’ music plays and he comes out with Ted DiBiase. Cody tells Zeke that the proper term is sour grapes. He says that conduct is as unbecoming as some of the faces he is witnessing right now. He says that Zeke doesn’t really deserve to be a champion. When Ezekiel loses, the Championship loses because Zeke is making it look bad. The simplest solution is that he defeats Jackson for the title and then something happens that hasn’t happened in a long time. He resurrects the image of the title, just like he resurrected the career of his ‘friend’ Ted DiBiase.
Jackson says that he isn’t resurrecting anything. He says that Ted is being used. Jackson says that he knows what it is like to be used. He was being used by Wade Barrett to serve his massive ego in The Corre until he shoved it down Wade’s throat. Jackson says that there is nothing better than freedom.
Cody says that Ted wants to associate himself with Cody because he is associating himself with a future. It pains him how Jackson’s ignorance is turning the Intercontinental Title into a memento of mediocrity. He says that Ted has free will and Cody is suggesting that Ted go to the ring and beat Jackson. Cody tells Ted that his is up to him and the esteemed Associate General Manager.
Ryder says that is cool with him but Teddy Long comes out to make an announcement but it must not be that important because he has to do the Playa Shuffle first. Ryder joins in the dancing in the ring. Teddy tells Zack that he doesn’t care what sounds good to him. Teddy says that Ryder is not the assistant General Manager, he is Teddy’s assistant. Instead of making a match, he will be part of a match. Zack will be facing Ezekiel Jackson tonight. Teddy says that Cody and Ted are banned from ringside during the match.

Teddy drops something and we see some women’s boots in the screen with Teddy’s choice of footwear for the evening. We pan up and it is Aksana and she introduces herself to Teddy. She says that it is her pleasure to meet such a powerful man. She wants to talk to him about a business proposition. Teddy says that he is busy and he gives his card to Aksana and he tells her to give him a call to set up an appointment. Aksana says that a business number is so impersonal and Teddy is confused. Aksana asks for Teddy’s personal number and he obliges. Aksana thanks Teddy and says that she looks forward to doing business with him. Aksana leaves and Teddy stares at something.

Sheamus makes his way to the ring with a chair, but he is too late to help Kozlov. Henry grabs the cover to the announce table and he throws it at the ring. Sheamus wants Henry to come into the ring but Henry isn’t going to challenge Sheamus when he does not have the advantage. Henry walks away while the medical staff checks on Kozlov. They bring a stretcher to the ring to take Kozlov from the ring.
John Morrison does some parkour in the back as we go to commercial.
We are back and Todd Grisham stops Sheamus who is walking in the back with his chair and he asks Sheamus for some comments about Mark Henry. Sheamus wants to know what kind of beast Henry is. He says that Henry doesn’t take pleasure in beating his opponents, he takes pleasure in ending their livelihood. He is taking away what they love and the will to compete in the WWE. He has already done it to Big Show and Kane and now he does it to Vladimir Kozlov. Sheamus says that it will not happen to him at SummerSlam. Nobody can take away his will or his passion to compete in the WWE. The biggest reason is because he is Irish. He says that he has the luck of the Irish. He says that he was born with a 24 karat horseshoe up his arse. If need be, he can whip that horseshoe out and leave lumps on his head. He will drag Mark to the beach where Henry can swim with Shamu and the rest of his friends.

Sugar retail price feared to rise beyond Rs74

KARACHI: Sugar retail price feared to rise beyond Rs74 per kilo, while the already hyperinflation hit people would have to swallow this sugar coated bitter pill as well.

Industry sources told that ex-factory sugar price during the last eight days rose by over Rs2.50 in Sindh and Punjab, thereby swelling the ex-factory price in Sindh to Rs71, while in Punjab to Rs72 per kilo.

Prevailing retail sugar price is around Rs74/75 per kilo and if no action taken against the profiteers, then its price feared to go beyond even Rs75.

Industry sources said that the country’s sugar stock on July 1, 2011 stood at 1.35 million tons, which constitutes of Sindh’s 0.425 million tons, Punjab’s 0.805 million tons, while Khayber Pakhtunkhaw‘s sugar stock 90,000 tons.

Sugar stock in the country was more than the demand and enough for meeting demand until December current year. Despite this the profiteers are out to fleece the consumers whimsically of which the ministry of production has itself taken notice, but to no avail. The people said that instead of rhetoric concrete actions be taken to rein in the hoarders and profiteers.

Experts said that sugar price since June 2011 till now has shot up by Rs9 per kilo and pegged at Rs74 on average and if this rate persists for another one month, then on the basis of per month consumption of three lac tons, it is feared that the profiteers would rob additional Rs2.70 billion from the wallets of hapless consumers.

Asian stocks mostly lower, early losses trimmed

HONG KONG: Asian stocks were mostly lower Thursday but all had clawed back most of their earlier losses as traders went bargain-hunting despite huge falls in Europe and on Wall Street.

Gold also eased slightly from its record high after breaching the $1,800 barrier for the first time, but the yen edged towards a fresh high against the dollar as dealers poured into safe haven assets.

Tokyo was 1.04 percent lower in the afternoon, Hong Kong fell 1.45 percent by the break and Sydney was down 0.10 percent.

But Shanghai gained 0.43 percent and Seoul, which had earlier lost about four percent, was 0.68 percent higher.

Regional markets were off their morning lows Thursday, which came after Wall Street slumped -- with each of the three main indexes losing more than four percent -- and Europe was battered by renewed fears over US and eurozone debt.

European woes were reignited on Wednesday when rumours circulated that France was in danger of seeing its top-notch credit downgraded, following last week's historic cut to the United States' rating.

Amplifying the debt woes was a Fitch downgrade of Cyprus and comment that the eurozone nation would need an EU bailout.

And Greece stoked the fire when an official said the term for the exchange of bonds under its new rescue plan might have to stretch out beyond 2020 -- longer than had been planned.

Such a move would hit the banks and insurers that had already agreed to an effective haircut on their Greek bonds.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy cut short his holiday to announce new moves to slash France's massive debt while the downgrade was quickly denied, but it failed to prevent steep selloffs across Europe, which was led by banks.

London's FTSE-100 fell 3.05 percent, the Paris CAC-40 plunged 5.45 percent and in Frankfurt the DAX dived 5.13 percent. The Madrid Ibex-35 tumbled 5.49 percent and Milan's FTSE MIB fell 6.65 percent.

The pattern was repeated in the United States where the Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 4.62 percent, with the broader S&P 500 falling 4.42 percent and the Nasdaq shedding 4.09 percent.

"In essence, there's still a lot of fear in the market," said CMC Markets chief strategist Michael McCarthy in Australia.

Asian markets have suffered a rollercoaster week, tumbling from Friday to Tuesday on eurozone fears and the US debt downgrade before rebounding Wednesday after the US said it would hold rates at record lows for two years.

The sell-off Thursday morning came as gold surged to a record $1,814.50-$1,815.50 an ounce in Sydney trade, with investors looking for a safe place to park their money. However, it eased slightly to open in Hong Kong at $1,805.00-$1,804.00.

The yen, another safe-haven, moved towards its post-World War II high 76.25 to the dollar, which it hit in the turbulent week after Japan's March 11 quake and tsunami disaster.

In early trade the dollar bought 76.60 yen, down from 76.83 yen in New York late Wednesday.

Japanese Finance Minister Yoshihiko Noda reiterated that he remained attentive to financial markets and had an eye on the yen, a week after the government stepped into the forex market to stem the unit's rise.

"I think one-sided movements (in the forex market) are continuing," Noda said shortly before the market opened.

"I'll continue to watch the market today with keen awareness."

Prime Minister Naoto Kan, in a televised legislative committee meeting, echoed Noda's comment, saying: "We will closely monitor the market and think about ways to deal with it."

Elsewhere in currency markets, the euro firmed to $1.4214 from $1.4168, but fell slightly to 108.87 yen from 108.91 yen.

Oil prices followed equities lower, with New York's main contract, light sweet crude for delivery in September, dipping 79 cents to $82.10 per barrel.

Brent North Sea crude for September fell $1.10 to $105.58.

Woods tees off at PGA Championship near Atlanta

JOHNS CREEK, GA: Several PGA professionals gathered around the tee on the first hole at Atlanta Athletic Club, breaking into applause when one of their own hit the fairway with his opening tee shot Thursday.
About that time, Tiger Woods was heading to the putting green to begin warming up for the PGA Championship, still seeking that 15th major title.
Under a rising sun and cloudless blue sky, Craig Stevens of Dallas teed off in the opening group at No. 1. Stevens was one of 20 club pros in the field for the final major the year. Over at the 10th, Ryan Moore led another threesome beginning its day on the back side.
Two hours later, Woods teed off in a group that included U.S. Ryder Cup captain Davis Love III and 2008 PGA champion Padraig Harrington of Ireland.

Woods, who hasn't won a major title since the U.S. Open more than three years ago, missed the past two majors while letting injuries in his left leg properly heal.
Minor damage from a mowing accident on the 17th green had been repaired, although the brown edges of the new sod were visible. The PGA of America ruled the damaged area would be treated as ground under repair.
Paul Goydos settled in for what could be a long day, with no guarantee that he would even get to play.
Goydos has been the first alternate since the start of the week, and three days later, nothing had changed.
"I've got to stay on the tee," Goydos said. "There's like a blue line, and I've got to be inside the blue line, standing there like I'm a vulture. I told them they should give me a black hood and a scarlet letter. It's an uncomfortable position that I earned."
Goydos, a two-time winner on the PGA Tour who shot a 59 last year at the John Deere Classic, was at least allowed to play practice rounds.
The PGA Championship has the strongest field in golf, so strong that even the alternates can win, as John Daly did in 1991 at Crooked Stick. Goydos said he was not bothered that 57-year-old Jerry Pate, playing in only his second major in the past 20 years, asked the PGA for a special invitation even though he knows he can't contend.
Pate wanted this to be his farewell to major championship golf because he won his only major — the U.S. Open in 1976 — at Atlanta Athletic Club and was born in Georgia.
"I don't think he's taking a spot," Goydos said. "Arguably, you could say the way I've been playing, maybe I'd be taking up a spot. My record in the majors is nothing to write home about.
"For a player to complain, that's petty at best."
Dustin Johnson took a similar approach last year, when a two-stroke penalty on the 72nd hole kept him out of a playoff with Martin Kaymer and Bubba Watson.
Kaymer went on to beat Watson, while Johnson is forever linked to one of the greatest mental blunders or all-time rip jobs, depending on your point of view. He had to take the penalty for grounding his club in a patch of dirt that only vaguely resembled a bunker.
Johnson still isn't sure that's what it was.
"It was only about this big around," he said Wednesday, holding out his arms in the shape of a small circle. "There was grass and beer cans and cups in there. It had no definition at all."
It qualified as a bunker under local rules, which Johnson didn't bother to read. So, he dutifully erased the number on his card and wrote in one that was two strokes higher.
Kaymer comes in as the defending champion, playing in an afternoon group that included two other former PGA winners, Y.E. Yang and Shaun Micheel.
Johnson is still chasing his first big win, but he's never really griped about the cards he was dealt.
Heck, he still blames himself for driving the ball so far right that he wound up in a bunker that didn't look like one. He had a one-stroke lead, his breakthrough win just a par away. He knows he should've been more conservative off the tee, done what it took to stay in the fairway.

David stamps authority on Australian Open

CANBERRA: Malaysian squash queen Nicol David wasted little time in stamping her authority on the Australian Open in Canberra when she blitzed Australia's Samantha Davies in straight games on Tuesday.

David raced to an easy 11-3, 11-6, 11-2 first round win over her unheralded opponent to set up a clash with 17-year-old Emily Whitlock of England, 11-9, 7-11, 11-4, 11-3 winner over 15th seeded New Zealander Kylie Lindsay.

World number one David has never played in an Australian Open before but she is the overwhelming favourite to claim the title this year.

David had a rare loss at last week's Singapore Open to England's Laura Massaro but said she had already put that out of her mind.

Massaro is not playing in Canberra, but her countrywoman Jenny Duncalf was just as impressive as David as she cruised to an 11-5, 11-3, 11-3 win over Australian qualifier Vanessa Pickerd.

The remainder of the top women's seeds all progressed with dominant displays.

Third seed Rachael Grinham beat Lucie Fialova of the Czech Republic 11-6, 11-5, 11-2, Ireland's Madeline Perry (4) downed Malaysia's Siti Munirah Jusoh 11-5, 11-2, 11-3 and Kasey Brown (5) was too good for New Zealand's Amanda Cranston 11-2, 11-7, 11-3.

Ashour downed Malaysian qualifier Ivan Yuen 11-3, 11-7, 11-3, and Gaultier and Barker both overcame Australian challengers.

Barker was too steady for Aaron Frankcomb, winning 11-6, 11-8, 11-7 while Gaultier was in blistering form as he downed world number 14 Cameron Pilley 11-6, 11-8, 11-7.

Jahangir Khan backs squash for Olympics

KARACHI: Pakistani squash legend Jahangir Khan on Thursday hailed the International Olympic Committee's decision to consider the sport he once dominated for inclusion in the 2020 Games.

The IOC recently put squash on a shortlist of eight sports which could be added to the Olympics in 2020.

"Squash needs that fillip and we have been trying for this for the last several years. Now the time has come when squash be included in the Olympics on merit," Khan, a former World Champion, told AFP.

The 48-year-old Khan led the campaign to add the sport to the Olympic programme during his three-year tenure as World Squash Federation (WSF) president which ended in 2008.

"We lost to golf and rugby in 2016, but now I am sure of its inclusion in 2020," said Khan, who is now the honorary life president of the WSF.

Khan ruled the squash courts between 1981-92, winning a world record ten British open titles. He also won six world titles and remained unbeaten for five years and eight months between 1981-1986.

Squash will vie with baseball, karate, roller sports, softball, sports climbing, wakeboarding and wushu for inclusion in the 2020.

2014 FIFA WC qualification draw set

RIO DE JANEIRO: The 2014 World Cup has officially kicked off, with the United States being drawn with Jamaica in qualifying for the North, Central America and Caribbean region for the tournament in Brazil in three years' time.

The other two teams in Group A will come from preliminary qualifying matches that include Haiti, Guatemala, the U.S. Virgin Islands and five other nations.

Mexico is in Group B with Costa Rica, while Cuba and Honduras are in Group C. All three group winners and runners-up will advance to a final qualifying round, beginning February 2013.

African and Asian countries also found out their opponents in Saturday's qualifying draw in Rio de Janeiro, the first major World Cup event in Brazil since the South American nation was awarded the competition in 2007.

In Asia, Japan will face Uzbekistan, Syria and North Korea in Group C, while Australia will play Saudi Arabia, Oman and Thailand in Group D.

Iran, Bahrain and Qatar were drawn in the same Group E, along with Indonesia, while China is in Group A with Iraq, Jordan and Singapore.

The African teams were divided into 10 groups for qualifiers beginning in November. South Africa, last year's World Cup host, was drawn in Group A along with Botswana. Ghana, the best African team last year, is in Group D with Zambia and Sudan.

As host, Brazil is the only nation that doesn't have to qualify. But 166 other teams are having their fate decided in the draw.

South America was not included in the draw because the continent's nine teams will be placed in a single group. They will play each other twice, home and away, with the top four finishers securing a World Cup spot. The fifth-place team will advance to an intercontinental playoff against a team from Asia. The other playoff will pit teams from CONCACAF and Oceania.

The qualifiers began June 15 and will end Nov. 19, 2013, after 824 matches. Twenty-eight teams were eliminated in preliminary rounds before Saturday's draw.

The World Cup will be played from June 12 to July 13, and the complete match schedule will be announced in October.

"We love football,'' Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff said at the draw. "Today, Brazil is admired for more than just football, music and its popular festivities. I invite you to come visit us. You will find a country very well prepared for the World Cup.''

Federer loses, Djokovic and Berdych advance

MONTREAL: Some top players have shown signs of rust at the Rogers Cup, and Roger Federer was the latest.
The third-ranked Swiss star was upset by 13th-seeded Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 7-6 (3), 4-6, 6-1 in the third round Thursday night. Federer, who turned 30 on Monday, was playing for the first time since losing to Tsonga in the quarterfinals at Wimbledon.
Tsonga — who also beat Federer, then ranked No. 1, in the quarterfinals of the 2009 event — dominated the third set with strong serves and quick groundstrokes, and Federer found himself unable to match the Frenchman.

Top-ranked Novak Djokovic kept up his strong play this season with a 7-5, 6-3 victory over Marin Cilic of Croatia. The 24-year-old Serb is the last of the top four seeds to reach the quarterfinals of the Masters Series event.
In his second match since taking over the No. 1 ranking with a victory at Wimbledon four weeks ago, Djokovic broke the lanky Cilic's heavy serve twice in the second set to improve to 50-1 this year — including 26-0 on hard courts.
He beat another former top-10 player, Nikolay Davydenko, in straight sets in the second round.
Djokovic, seeking his ninth tournament win of the season, will face fifth-seeded Frenchman Gael Monfils, who beat Viktor Troicki of Serbia, 3-6, 7-6 (0), 7-6 (5).
The tournament had already lost defending champion Andy Murray and second-seeded Rafael Nadal to upsets in the early rounds before losing Federer.
Tsonga will face Nicolas Almagro of Spain in the quarterfinals. Almagro came back after being broken in the first set to defeat 10th-seeded Richard Gasquet of France 7-6 (5), 6-3.
Ivan Dodig, the 41st-ranked Croat who beat Nadal, had little left a day later as he was beaten 6-1, 6-4 by unseeded Serb Janko Tipsarevic.
Tipsarevic will face seventh-seeded Tomas Berdych in the quarter-finals on Friday. He is 2-0 in his career against the Czech veteran. Berdych downed Ivo Karlovic 6-3, 7-6 (2).
Also, Stanislas Wawrinka ousted Kevin Anderson 6-4, 4-6, 6-4, and sixth-seeded American Mardy Fish beat Ernests Gulbis of Latvia, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4.
Djokovic said it is normal for top players to be a little off their games after the break most of them take between grass court play at Wimbledon and the hard court season leading up to the U.S. Open.
Upsets have also befallen top players at the women's Rogers Cup in Toronto, where Maria Sharapova and French Open champion Li Na were the latest to go down on Thursday.
