Junior hockey team left for Egypt

LAHORE: National junior hockey team left for the series against Egypt's senior team after the training camp concluded Wednesday at National Stadium Lahore.

Pakistan outfit will play five matches in Egypt against the senior team of that country from August 6-12.

Chief Coach and Manager of Junior team Rana Mujahid said that the boys were full of potential and talent, adding, "they will display fine performance against Egypt."

He said that the players were selected purely on merit keeping in view their performance during the camp and trials.

The team will comprise of Mazhar Abbas, Muhammad Khalid, Aleem Bilal, Muhammad Mushtaq, Waseem Abbas, Mohammad Kashif Javed, Muhammad Rizwan (Vice Captain), Tasawwar Abbas, Muhammad Suleman, Zohaib Ashraf, Mohammad Irfan, Mohammad Umar Bhutta (Captain), Arslan Qadir, Ali Shan, Muhammad Adnan Anwar, Rana Umair, Mohammad Dilber and Ahmed Zubair.

The officials of the team are: Rana Mujahid Ali, Coaches: Danish Kaleem and Anjum Saeed, Team Doctor: Asad Abbas Shah.
