LAHORE: Pakistan will not take part in the upcoming Canada Cup Kabbadi Tournament because visas were not issued to members of the team, Geo News reported.
Pakistan Kabbadi Federation had submitted the visa applications for 11 players and 2 officials to the Canadian Embassy but visas were only issued for 4 players.

Secretary of the Pakistan Kabbadi Federation, Muhammed Saroor said that participation in the Kabbadi Cup was not possible under these circumstances.
The Canadian Embassy said it did not issue the visas over fears that the players would not return to Pakistan. Interestingly 4 Pakistan Kabbadi players from Faisalabad had entered into an agreement with a Canadian club and were issued visas despite the fact that they did not obtain NOCs from the federation..These players had already left for Canada.
The tournament will begin on Saturday and will feature eight teams.
