Kareena Kapoor starrer Heroine has taken a flying start at the box office on Friday. As latest report, it has shown an occupancy of 55-60% on average for the Morning and Noon shows. Advance booking of Heroine for the evening and night shows is also good and if all goes well a very good first day collection is 10 crore on the cards.

Barfi First Week Collection!! Excellent

Barfi had an excellent first week collecting 57.50 crore nett approx in its first week. The film held up exceedingly well on the weekdays collecting around 23.50 crore nett. There was bandh on Thursday in many parts, the film was helped by the fact that both Mumbai city and Delhi city which are big contributors for the film were largely unaffected.

Raaz 3 has collected around 14.5 crore nett all India in Second week at the box office. Raaz 3 total box office collection now stands at 70 crore nett. Ek Tha Tiger has collected around 1.15 crore nett all India in its 5th week at the box office. Ek Tha Tiger total box office collection now stands at around 198 crore nett all India. “Jab Tak Hai Jaan” inspired by “The Motorcycle Diaries”?

The first trailer of Yash Chopra's directorial venture, 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan', is out to great response. Starring Shah Rukh Khan as army officer Samar, this bears the hallmark of a regular Yash Raj romance set on a grand scale. Though the music of the film has been scored by the inimitable AR Rahman, the background track is surprisingly reminiscent of the classic “The Motorcycle Diaries”.

The score for the Motorcycle Diaries was composed by Gustavo Santaolalla. Ernesto 'Che' Guevara's famous trip across South America begun in late 1951 on Granado's old British motorcycle and supposedly awakened in Guevara a sympathy for the poor and desire for social justice that turned him into a leftist revolutionary.

Raaz 3 First Day Collection 10+ Cr

Raaz 3 has collected around huge 10.5 crore nett all India on Friday. Raaz 3 First day occupancy was around 55% on average across all India. Raaz 3 performed exceedingly well in mass dominated centres and 3D cinemas. 

Raaz 3 is the biggest opener of Emraan Hashmi and Bipasha Basu starrer in lead roles and should show further jump on Saturday and Sunday. Raaz 3 is Emraan Hashmi's first solo starrer film to gross 10+ crore nett in a single day. Raaz 3 has taken one of the biggest openings of 2012 and if trended well might be a huge surprise of 2012.

Saeed Ajmal Tops ICC ODI Ranking

Pakistan off-spinner Saeed Ajmal is ranked 1st on the ICC one day international ranking for bowlers. Ajamal secured the top position and is followed by Muhammed Hafeez who ranks second.  South African Hashim Amla ranks first and Indian Virat Kohli ranks second on the list of the top ODI batsmen. The highest Pakistani ranked on the list is Umer Akmal at 13.

Rawalpindi Police Arrest 24 OutLaws

Rawalpindi Police in its ongoing drive against anti-social elements arrested 24 outlaws including 10 gamblers from different areas of the district. Police recovered 1300 grams charras, 11 bottles of liquor, six 30 bore pistols with 20 rounds, three daggers, cash worth Rs 52,000, mobile phones and other gadgets.

Civil Line Police arrested Robina on recovery of 1100 grams charras, R.A Police held Farhan for having 200 grams charras while other accused namely Shahdab, Ghulam Nabi, Badar, Asad, Amjad, Nadeem, Masood, Khurram, Bilal, Adil, Imran and Ashfaq were sent behind the bars on recovery of liquor and illegal weapons.

Meanwhile 10 gamblers were held and police recovered stake money, mobile phones and gadgets.
